Times are good for lovers of 24-hour watches. Here’s a new collection from one of our favourite watch suppliers, No-Watch, which has just been launched on Indiegogo.

One of the models is the “Nigra Turo”:
This is a copy of the 24-hour dial on the lower clock on the Nigra Turo or Černa věž (the Black Tower) located in Klatovy city in the Czech Republic; “black” because it’s been burnt several times since it was built in 1557. Details are scarce, but some sources suggest that one of the clocks was designed by famous Czech inventor and engineer Josef Božek (1782-1835) during the early 19th century. The current dial bears the date 1924: this may be a new or repaired clock, or perhaps just the dial was renovated.
